- Cast and Crew - Is This A Bolt In Your Neck
Abigail Anderson (Writer and Director)
Abigail directed Gonzo Moose’s previous show, the highly
acclaimed You Don’t Need to Know That. Currently she
is the Associate Director at the Theatre Royal in Bury St
Edmunds where she has directed: Twelfth Night, a new adaptation
of Three Men in a Boat and Art. Other recent productions as
a freelancer include: a national tour of Oliver Twist (Love
and Madness); Between the Dark and the Daylight (Southwark
Playhouse); Sweet Witchery and Dark Fancies (Scary Little
Girls), Food of Love (Hamptons Shakespeare Festival), and
sonnet walks in various cities in the UK and US.
Angus Barr (Writer and performer)
Trained at the Poor School before co-founding Ridiculusmus,
with whom he worked for five years. He then made a string
of short films before returning to theatre with his ecological
satire, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Godard! In 2005
he created the musical, Wink the Other Eye, for Wiltons Music
Hall, which plays there again this summer. When not working
with Gonzo Moose he tries to be artistic director of Bristol-based
touring theatre company, Publick Transport. He is also one
half of cabaret act, The Banjulele Brothers, though some may
prefer to remember him as the keyboard player from 80s pop
band, The Pet Dolphins.
Mark Conway (Writer and Performer)
Trained at Circomedia, Centre for Physical Theatre and Circus
in Bristol. He is co-founder and artistic director of Gonzo
Moose and has appeared in all five of their shows. Theatre
includes Table-top tragedies (barbican) and Dick Wittington
(Corn Exchange, Newbury). Other work includes: appearing in
a ballet version of the Dickens’ classic, A Christmas
Carol and being a stunt man in the film short, The Deal. Television
includes: Teachers, Casualty, Torchwood and Dr Who. Directing
includes the sketch double act Kiosk of Champions.
Cariad Lloyd (Writer and performer)
Previous theatre credits include Movieplex (National Theatre
Studio), The Road not Taken (English Lovers, Vienna), Pack
up Your Troubles - 50 hour improvathon (Sticking Place), The
Good Guide (Soho Theatre), Ripe & Rotten (Shunt/BAC),
Ashes (Pleasance Edinburgh), Newsrevue (Canal Cafe), Shakespeare
for Breakfast (C venues). Film works includes Hallo Panda
(Film4). She is also an experienced improviser working with
The Institute, Ken Campbell's School of Night and Die Nasty
in Canada, as well as regularly performing as a character
act on the comedy circuit. She also directed and devised this
year's Edinburgh sell out Shakespeare for Breakfast.
Tom Richmond (lighting Design)
Tom Richmond graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School
in
2004. Since then he has largely been doing lighting design
for small
scale companies like Gonzo Moose, for whom this is his third
show. He also toured extensively around Europe with the Caravan
Stage Company. He is currently employed at the Bristol Old
Vic.
Martin Stansbury (Sound Design and
Production Manager)
Based in Cornwall Martin divides his time between theatre
and music. He works at The Hall for Cornwall, covering all
aspects of technical theatre (stage, lighting and sound) as
well touring with companies such as Gonzo Moose, Moving Hands
and The DT's. Martin also operates live sound for local venues,
events and festivals and has worked with many companies including
the Bonzo Dog Band. In the studio he has recorded and produced
such contemporary classics as Mama's "Crow, Coyote, Buffalo",
Damn!Chakra’s "Social Statements" and Tracy
Story's "O Brother" as well as working with the
new shining lights of funk The Underbelly). Martin also composes
and arranges, including working with songwriters such as Zoe
Pollock and Ministry of Sounds recent signing Tara McDonald.
For pleasure Martin can be found performing in heavy rock
and punk bands, and has occasionally been financially convinced
to partake in music for theatre on productions such as the
Hall for Cornwalls 'Barabas'.
Helen Stewart (Set Designer)
Helen studied at the University of Kent. Past theatre design
credits include: Rome and Rime of the Ancient Mariner (The
Nuffield, Southampton) Sleeping Beauty, The Dukes, Lancaster;
The Fair Maid of the West, Third Party Productions directed
by John Wright; The Marriage of Figaro, Opera East Productions;
Griot and Liason Come with me, Bernie Grant Arts Centre; The
Tempest, Chalkfoot
